At the end of the 19th century, August was accidentally electrocuted here. His tragic story was documented in The Cincinnati Enquirer, and the newspaper account is still archived today. 🥃 Meet Whitey. For more than 30 years, Whitey tended bar at Schrimper's Cafe, the restaurant that originally occupied our space. He died of a heart attack behind the very bar where we serve cocktails today.
